The team at Omega Windows got a chance to do their bit for the young people in Kent by helping the team at the Rare Breeds Centre to build a new educational facility. The centre in Ashford provides farm-based learning, with activities including meeting farm animals, tractor rides, meeting birds of prey and more.
The project was valued at £15,000 and was completed in June 2018. Our team of installers installed smooth Anthracite Grey Deceuninck Window Systems and Jack Thermally broken Aluminium Commercial door sets. Omega worked with Sprinks Construction, the constructor on the project, and Modus Construction Consultants, architects on the project, to deliver the facility.
The team at the Rare Breeds Centre will be ale to enjoy feeling secure in their new Education Centre thanks to the installation of our set of aluminium commercial doors. The doors are double glazed, providing an extra layer of security against any unwanted visitors. In the manufacturing of the doors we fit a range of high-security locking systems which does not interfere with weather stripping. They are fitted with a hook bolt which locks into armoured keeps set into a mating outer frame. The slimline appearance hides the power that is at the core of these high-quality doors.
The centre will also see a positive investment in the doors, which are designed to be thermally efficient. Our doors are built to withstand whatever the Kent weather throws at it and uses a clever thermal barrier to offer high-levels of insulation. This means that the centre will not lose any heat. Both sets of our doors come with a 10-year guarantee, so will provide the centre with years of service.
To complement the aluminium doors, the centre has benefited from the installation of a set of uPVC Casement Windows. Our casement windows are manufactured with the Deceuninck 2800 series profile system. By using this system, these windows offer exceptional security and efficiency and can be tailored to meet each customer’s needs. In this case, the team at the centre chose Smooth Anthracite Grey from the 250 different colours.
The windows are multi-chambered for superior energy efficiency, meaning that if a lesson is going on inside the building, those outside of it won’t be disturbed and vice versa. The double glazing in the casement windows mean that if the centre wanted to, they could host lessons in the winter and not worry about heat escaping the building or cold air getting in. The children will be able to enjoy the lesson without the need of a coat, and the windows will keep giving peak performance for 10 years thanks to our guarantee.
