The team at Omega were asked by a long-standing and valued customer to assist their building company in the design of a new orangery building to complement their home improvement project in Faversham, Kent.

Our team at Omega decided on a combination of double glazing products within our range that would reflect the existing property’s style. As the property is a more traditional and period styled home, we chose a combination of products that would reflect the timber details but combined them with modern performance benefits.

All other internal finishes for this project were completed by FWD construction of Ashford. Their team did an incredible job with the kitchen conversion and knocked through.

Residence 9 Windows

The first product we installed onto this fantastic project was our brilliant range of Residence 9 windows. Our team installed these throughout the orangery extension and were all finished in woodgrain white.

We chose to use these windows as the residence collection gives the effect and aesthetic of traditional timber windows, with all the benefits of a modern double glazed window. Therefore, these windows match the existing style of the property, and they are also exceptional for thermal efficiency, security and weatherproofing.

Residence 9 Doors

To complement the incredible Residence 9 timber effect windows we used for this property, we also decided to install a Residence 9 French door.

Our Residence 9 French doors are the perfect combination of traditional looks whilst using innovative uPVC technology to create a high-performance double glazed door.

These doors are incredibly low maintenance and a fantastic alternative to timber doors. They offer unrivalled thermal insulation and weatherproofing capabilities. This means our customer can enjoy their new orangery all year round, even in the most unpredictable British weather conditions.

 

Prefix Systems Roof Lantern

To finish the orangery off, we used a beautiful double glazed roof lantern from Prefix Systems UK.

A roof lantern is a fantastic way to enhance the volume of natural light into an extension or orangery. This roof lantern has been designed to maximise the glass in the roof area. As a result, the homeowner’s orangery will bring in more uninterrupted light providing a light and airy feel.
