The Omega Windows team is pleased to announce we are now proud holders of the SMAS certification! SMAS Worksafe is a registered member scheme of the Safety Schemes in Procurement, providing health and safety assessments. We passed the certification in November of last year, meeting the SSIP core criteria recognised by HSE and other SSIP schemes.

This accreditation illustrates how as a company, we are committed to health and safety and we use an effective health and safety management system. To gain the accreditation, we had to prove that we were carrying out our day-to-day tasks without any risk to health and safety.

In order to achieve the certification, the Omega team had to:

• Carry Out Asbestos Awareness training with all fitters
• Send safety memos to all fitters
• Send over all qualifications of fitters
• Get fitters to complete equipment inspection forms and confirm everything has conformed to the health and safety guidelines.

As a company, health and safety is integral to attracting business. We hope that through getting this accreditation, we can attract larger contractors to do business with us, further growing Omega Windows. With an accreditation from SMAS, it will demonstrate to other businesses the high level of attention to detail our business gives to health and safety.
